Surrender to God

“Then the men of Yavesh said [to Nachash], Tomorrow we will surrender to you, and you can do with us whatever you like.”
1 Samuel 11:10 CJB

The only one we should surrender to is God and no one else!

“Those who worship vain idols give up their source of mercy; but I, speaking my thanks aloud, will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed, I will pay. Salvation comes from Adonai!”
Jonah 2:9-10 CJB

When we give up to the world and its trappings we end up like Jonah trapped inside of a big fish! When we give up and give into Adonai we receive His mercy and grace!

“Adonai, don’t withhold your mercy from me. Let your grace and truth preserve me always.”
Psalm 40:11 CJB

Today, don’t give up to the world, but instead give up to Adonai, who will always preserve us in His mercy and grace!
May your day be blessed!

Don’t go backwards

“He said to the people of Israel, Here is what Adonai the God of Israel says: I brought Israel up from Egypt. I rescued you from the power of the Egyptians and from the power of all the kingdoms that oppressed you.”
1 Samuel 10:18 CJB

We also can look back at our lives before Yeshua(Jesus) and see all that He saved us from! What we need to be careful of is going back to the world or trying to fit in with the world!

“But today you have rejected your God, who Himself saves you from all your disasters and distress. You have said to him, No! Put a king over us! So now, present yourselves before Adonai by your tribes and families.”
1 Samuel 10:19 CJB

Understand it can be easy to fall back into worldly ways or be worldly around coworkers or our neighbors in order to fit in! Remember, God has not chosen us to be like the ordinary world, but has chosen us to be separate and holy for Him!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim (priests), a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

Today, be really careful of being sucked into the world and all its trappings! Instead, be caught up in Adonai and all His glory!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua!

Day of the LORD

“Well said, Sha’ul (Saul) answered his servant. Come on, let’s go. So they went to the city where the man of God was.”
1 Samuel 9:10 CJB

We need to do the same thing, invite people to the place where God is! We all need fellowship with other believers hearing the word of God!

“Not neglecting our own congregational meetings, as some have made a practice of doing, but, rather, encouraging each other. And let us do this all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:25 CJB

What is this day fast approaching? It’s the Day of the LORD, which will catch many off guard! Why? Because we allow life to get in the way, we need fellowship, which always helps us to focus on God!

“I was glad when they said to me, The house of Adonai! Let’s go!”
Psalm 122;1 CJB

Today, remember we need fellowship and we also need to be looking for the the Day of the LORD, which is fast approaching! So let’s be ready!
Have a blessed day!

God is our King

“Sh’mu’el (Samuel) was not pleased to hear them say, Give us a king to judge us; so he prayed to Adonai.”
1 Samuel 8:6 CJB

God appointed judges to give the instructions and guidance from Him the ultimate King! But instead the people wanted to be like all the other ordinary nations around them and install a king from among the people. We need to be careful of doing the same thing allowing the leaders of the world to guide and direct our lives!

“So do what they say, but give them a sober warning, telling them what kinds of rulings their king will make.”
1 Samuel 8:9 CJB

The same warning goes for us today also! The rulers we have ruling over us today constantly tell us they speak for us, they do what is in our best interest and this couldn’t be more untrue! Only God can speak for us and do what is in our best interests!

“”Know today, and establish it in your heart, that Adonai is God in heaven above and on earth below-there is no other.”
Deuteronomy 4:39 CJB

Today, be careful of allowing the leaders of the world to guide and direct you, but instead let’s cling to Adonai, the creator of the universe!
Have a blessed day!

Life is a journey

“They began their journey from Ram’ses in the first month. On the fifteen day of the first month, the morning after the Pesach, the people of Israel left in view of all the Egyptians.”
Numbers 33:3 CJB

Everything in life is a journey. We start at point A, and move on to point B. The cool thing is Adonai is with us every step of the way! Some stops are good and some are a bit trying, but life is a journey until we make it to our ultimate goal of heaven!

“Since You are my rock and fortress, lead me and guide me for Your name’s sake.”
Psalm 31:3 CJB

While we are on life’s journey, there is no better way to navigate it than being in the word of God!

“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

Today, as we walk through this journey of life, let’s keep Adonai close by our sides by being in His guide book, the Bible!
Have a amazing day!
Shabbat Shalom!
