Be a good example

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, following the example of everything his father `Uziyah had done.”
2 Kings 15:34 CJB

If you look at all the kings here we can see most of them were evil, but the ones who did good usually followed after their father’s good example! The question is do we leave and give good examples for others to follow?

“Don’t follow the path of the wicked or walk on the way of evildoers.”
Proverbs 4:14 CJB

When we follow evil we do evil, when we follow good we do good!

“How happy is everyone who fears Adonai, who lives by His ways.”
Psalm 128:1 CJB

Today, let’s be an example by walking in the ways of Adonai!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Rely on God

“For Adonai saw how bitterly Israel had suffered, with no one left, either slave or free, and no one coming to Israel’s aid.”
2 Kings 14:26 CJB

God sees all our good times and our suffering and He is always near in every situation!

“O God, my vindicator! Answer me when I call! When I was distressed, You set me free; now have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.”
Psalm 4:1 CJB

Life can and does have battles, it is full of all kinds of ups and downs! Just remember God is always there!

“I cry aloud to God, aloud to God; and He hears me.”
Psalm 77:1 CJB

Today, we can have peace and comfort in the fact that God hears us when we call and we can rest in His peace!
Have a blessed day relying on Adonai!

Yeshua saves

“So Adonai gave Israel a savior who freed them from the grip of Aram, so that the people of Israel could live in their tents, as they had before.”
2 Kings 13:5 CJB

God has given us a savior in Yeshua so we can be free from the bondage of sin!

“Despite that, instead of turning from the sins of the house of Yarov’am, who made Israel sin, they continued to live in this sinful way. Moreover, the asherah continued to stand in Shomron.”
2 Kings 13:6 CJB

Even after we’ve been saved, we can still have the tendency to slip back into sin! The key is always to call on Adonai and repent!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

Today, be careful of the sinful traps around us and know if you do slip, Adonai is always there to save when we call!
Have a blessed day!

Don’t procrastinate

“But twenty-three years into the reign of King Y’ho’ash (Jehoash), the cohanim (priests) had still not repaired the damaged places in the house.”
2 Kings 12:7 CJB

Do we procrastinate on getting things done, especially things that God calls us to do? Our reasoning for procrastinating usually are fear, feeling unworthy or just failure! Often times we just need to step out and trust Adonai!

“Haven’t I ordered you, Be strong, be bold? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 CJB

We need to simply trust Adonai and not be afraid of the things we see that discourage us!

“For we live by trust, not by what we see.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 CJB

Today, let’s step out in faith and do the things of Adonai! Let’s not be procrastinators!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!

Worship Adonai

“Y’hoyada (Jehoiada) made a covenant between Adonai, the king and the people, that they would be Adonai’s people, and
[a covenant] between the king and the people.”
2 Kings 11:17 CJB

Are we Adonai’s people? Do we worship Him and only Him? This is what was happening to the people here. They were worshipping God one day and then worshipping the world the rest of the week and they were trying to make things right! We need to get rid of the godless things that distract us and worship God only!

“Hear, my people, while I give you warning! Israel, if you would only listen to me!”
Psalm 81:8 CJB

We also need to listen to Adonai and worship only Him, we will always be better off!

“There is not to be with you any foreign god; you are not to worship an alien god.”
Psalm 81:9 CJB

Today, let’s look and see if there is anything that needs to be removed and remove it!
Have a blessed day worshipping Adonai!
