Point people to God

“I raised my eyes to You, whose throne is in heaven.”
Psalm 123:1 CJB

As the Psalms of accent talk over and over about the Holy city of Jerusalem, the Psalmist makes it clear that it is all about God, not about a building or a place! Now it’s good to pray for a place and its people, but understand it is all about the glory of God!

“I will thank You, Adonai my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Your name forever.”
Psalm 86:12 CJB

We need to make God the center of everything in our lives and share that with all who we come in contact with!

“Sing to Adonai, bless His name! Proclaim His victory day after day!”
Psalm 96:2 CJB

Today, let’s speak of the glory of God and share His good news!
Have a blessed day!

Pray for peace

“Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), built as a city fostering friendship and unity.”
Psalm122:3 CJB

The city of Jerusalem was always meant to be a city set aside for God as a city of peace! In reality it really never was, but God still asks us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, because one day it will be the city of peace!

“Pray for shalom in Yerushalayim; may those who love You prosper.”
Psalm 122:6 CJB

Adonai tells us to pray for and love the places of God and His people! Why? Simply because He says so, but when we do God will bless us!

“I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Genesis 12:3 CJB

Today, we really do need to be praying for shalom (peace), because the more we pray for peace the more we will be filled with His peace!
Have a day filled with His peace!

All good comes from God

“My help comes from Adonai, the maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:2 CJB

Yes, all our help comes from Adonai, anything that is good comes from Him!

“Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father who made the heavenly lights; with Him there is neither variation nor darkness caused by turning.”
James 1:17 CJB

No matter how we look at things, God only does good things. There is no evil in Him at all! So we really need to look to Him for everything!

“I said Adonai, You are my LORD; I have nothing good outside of You.”
Psalm 16:2 CJB

What a great thing for us to take in, just how good Adonai is and how much He blesses us!
Have a richly blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Pray!

“I have had to live far too long with those who hate peace.”
Psalm 120:6 CJB

This Psalm is so relevant to us today, we are living in a time of deceitful tongues and a total lack of peace!

“A brutish fool tells himself, “There isn’t any God.” Such people are depraved, all their deeds are vile, not one of them does what is good.”
Psalm 53:1 CJB

The world is full of foolish, evil people who deny God at every moment! We shouldn’t be surprised, but what we should do is call on Adonai! Pray!

“But I will call on God, and Adonai will save me.”
Psalm 55:16 CJB

Don’t let the deceitful world get you down, but instead call on Adonai, who will lift you up!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

God guides

“Let my cry come before You, Adonai; in keeping with Your word, give me understanding.”
Psalm 119:169 CJB

We should want our cries to come before Adonai, getting instruction from Him and understanding according to His word!

“Hear my cry, God; listen to My prayer.”
Psalm 61:1 CJB

The beautiful thing is when we call out to God, He will always answer us!

“Your word is a lamp for my foot and light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

Let’s rejoice in the fact that God not only hears us, but He answers us too, giving us the direction we need!
Have a blessed day!
