Be kind!

“He who is kind to the poor is lending to Adonai; and He will repay him for his good deed.”
Proverbs 19:17 CJB

We should always look for opportunities to be kind to the less fortunate and no matter who you are, there is always someone less fortunate than you!

“The oppressor of the poor insults His maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors Him.”
Proverbs 14:31 CJB

Adonai, desires us to be His light and being kind to the poor is part of being that light!

“I, Adonai, called you righteously, I took hold of you by the hand, I shaped you and made you a covenant for the people, to be a light for the Goyim (Nations), so that you can open blind eyes, free prisoners from confinement, those living in darkness from the dungeon.”
Isaiah 42:6-7 CJB

Remember we are called to be a light, a witness to Adonai, showing the people a way out of darkness, directing people to Yeshua!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

When we do good things it isn’t to glorify us, but it’s to glorify Adonai!
Today, let’s be looking for ways to glorify Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Adonai is our strong tower

“The name of Adonai is a strong tower; a righteous person runs to it and is raised high [above danger].”
Proverbs 18:10 CJB

Yes, this is what Adonai does. He covers and protects His people! He is always our strong tower, so let’s run to Him for everything!

“He said: “Adonai is my Rock, my fortress and deliverer, the God who is my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my shield, the power that saves me, my stronghold and refuge. My savior, you have saved me me from violence. I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22:2-4 CJB

As we see the world around us falling apart fires-, storms- and war- the more we need to lean on Adonai, our strong tower!

“Adonai is close to all who call on Him, to all who sincerely call on Him.”
Psalm 145:18 CJB

Today, instead of looking at the world falling apart, let’s call on Adonai, who is our solid Rock and is worthy of all our praises!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Jesus is good medicine

“A happy heart is good medicine, but low spirits sap one’s strength.”
Proverbs 17:22 CJB

Many people today are sick, not because of actual disease, but because of unhappiness. They have a lack of joy, they have heart problems!

“Be glad in Adonai; rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you upright heart!’
Psalm 32:11 CJB

Life is full of all kinds of disappointing things that can make us sorrowful, but when we look to Adonai we can have and should have joy!

“For even if the fig tree doesn’t blossom, and no fruit is on the vines, even if the olive tree fails to produce, and the fields yield no food at all, even if the sheep vanish from the sheep pen, and there are no cows in the stalls; still, I will rejoice in Adonai, I will take joy in the God of my salvation.”
Habakkuk 3:17-18 CJB

Today, no matter how bad things may seem, the best thing we can do is look to Adonai and allow his joy to fill our hearts!
Have a blessed day!

Walk in His ways

“All man’s ways are pure in His own view, but Adonai weighs the spirit.”
Proverbs 16:2 CJB

How true is this. Even godly men and women can make plans that they see as right, only to find it’s not part of God’s plans! We all really need to seek God before we make a move!

“A person may plan his path, but Adonai directs his steps.”
Proverbs 16:9 CJB

We need to be careful of planning all our ways and then asking God to approve! What we need to do is ask God to show us His way so we are walking in His perfect plan!

“As for God, His way is perfect, the word of Adonai has been tested by fire; He shields all who take refuge in Him.”
2 Samuel 22:31 CJB

Today, let’s look to Adonai for all our directions!
Have a blessed day walking in His ways, not getting in His way!

Be godly

“Adonai detests the way of the wicked but loves anyone who pursues righteousness.”
Proverbs 15:9 CJB

This is why we need to live as godly as we can, getting into His word and do the best we can to live in His ways!

“You must not do this to Adonai your God! For they have done to their gods all the abominations that Adonai hates! They even burn up their sons and daughters in the fire for their gods!”
Deuteronomy 12:31 CJB

God warned Israel to remove all the detestable nations that practiced idolatry, but they failed! God also tells us to remove all the idolatries that surround us, but we fail too! Like Israel we must keep trying to live a godly life!

“I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of salvary. You are to have no other gods before me.”
Exodus 20:2-3 CJB

Today, let’s be all about serving and worshipping God and remove all the false idols that distract us from Him!
May your day be richly blessed!
