Joy is in Adonai

“But the Egyptians treated us badly; they oppressed us and imposed harsh slavery on us.”
Deuteronomy 26:6 CJB

No matter how harshly we feel we are being treated, someone else has it worse! Understand for believers this is as bad as it is ever gonna get!

“Then he said to them, Go, eat rich food, drink sweet drinks, and send portions to those who can’t provide for themselves; for today is consecrated to our LORD. Don’t be sad, because the joy of Adonai is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10 CJB

No matter how bad things may be or may be getting, we can always find joy in Adonai! He is our strength and our joy!

“I have said these things to you so that, united with Me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris (tribulation). But be brave! I have conquered the world!”
John 16:33 CJB

When we are united and trust in strength and joy of Adonai we will always have peace, we will have difficulties when we focus on the world and its issues!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua!

Serve

“You are not to muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain.”
Deuteronomy 25:4 CJB

The point in this verse as the ox is working for you and providing you food, the ox deserves to partake also! In other words, the workers (us) should be able to partake of our labor!

“For the Tanakh says, You are not to muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain, in other words, The worker deserves his wages.”
1 Timothy 5:18 CJB

The beautiful thing is, as we do the work of sharing the Good News of Salvation, Adonai will supply all our needs!

“Moreover, my God will fill every need of yours according to His glorious wealth, in union with the Messiah Yeshua.”
Philippians 4:19 CJB

So as we give and serve Adonai and He supplies the fruit that we need to continue serving Him!
Have a blessed day serving Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be kind

“When harvesting the grain in your field, if you forget a sheaf of grain there, you are not to go and get it; it will remain there for the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, so that Adonai your God will bless you in all the work you do.”
Deuteronomy 24:19 CJB

God really wants us to be kind to the needy! We need to remember we were all in desperate need of salvation, before Adonai came and saved us! So be kind!

“Rather, treat the foreigner staying with you like the native-born among you-you are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am Adonai your God.”
Leviticus 19:34 CJB

We need to spend more time being compassionate and kind to others and less time arguing and condemning!

“But I tell you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”
Matthew 5:44 CJB

It’s real easy to love people that we love and care for, it is harder to love someone who persecutes you or reviles you!
We need to love others!
Have a blessed day loving others!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be kind

“You are not to lend at interest to your brother, no matter whether the loan is of money, food or anything else that can earn interest.”
Deuteronomy 23:20 CJB

We are not to take advantage of our brothers or people less fortunate than us! We are to be kind!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB also Matthew 22:39-40

We are to love God and treat those around just like we would want ourselves to be treated!

“Don’t plot harm against each other; and don’t love perjury; for all these are things I hate, says Adonai.”
Zechariah 8:17 CJB

No matter what may happen today, let us reflect the love and kindness of Adonai and have a blessed day being kind!
