Know God

“Hear the word of Adonai, people of Israel! For Adonai has a grievance against the inhabitants of the land: there is no truth, no faithful love or knowledge of God in the land; only swearing and lying, killing and stealing and committing adultery! They break all bounds, with one blood crime following another.”
Hosea 4:1-2 CJB

We can compare what Hosea is saying to Israel, to what we see in the world today! There is no mercy, no truth and no knowledge of God! “We need to know God and we need to know He exists!”

“I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, where you lived as slaves.”
Deuteronomy 5:6 CJB

We should be real exited about the fact that God saves us and has taken us out of Egypt (the world of sin), to walk with Him!
The question is why do we want to go back? Even amongst believers today there is a tendency to desire the detestable things of the world! Don’t go back!

“Our God is a God who saves; from Adonai Adonai comes escape from death.”
Psalm 68:20 CJB

Do we really grasp the fact that God saved us from the detestable sins of this ugly world and has given us life everlasting! Then we should be the happiest people around, sharing the Good News of Salvation!
Have a blessed day knowing God and Knowing He exists!

Love people

“Adonai said to me, Go once more, and show love to [this] wife [of yours] who has been loved by her boyfriend, to this adulteress-just as Adonai loves the people of Israel, even through they turn to other gods and love the raisin cakes [offered to them].”
Hosea 3:1 CJB

This chapter tells Hosea to love his wayward prostitute wife, no matter what she has done! What this verse tells us is to love people, not what they do. Remember, love people not their sin or even be their best friend, just love them! There is no verse or passage in the Bible were it says love the sin. It says we are to love people and hate their sin, just like God!

“You who love Adonai, hate evil! He keeps his faithful servants safe. He rescues them from the power of the wicked.”
Psalm 97:10 CJB

What is evil? Anything that is contrary to God and His ways and His word!

“I treasure Your word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against you.”
Psalm 119:11 CJB

How do we know what to stay away from? By being in the Word of God and knowing His ways!
Have a blessed day!

God guides

“Therefore, I will block her way with thorns and put a hedge so she can’t find her paths.”
Hosea 2:8 CJB verse 6 in other translations

What God is saying here is He’s going to put a hedge of protection around His beloved to keep her on His path! He does the same for us by placing thorns in the way of our own paths of sin and pride, so it hurts when we stray off of His perfect path!

“Adonai protects all who love Him, but all the wicked He destroys.”
Psalm 145:20 CJB

God places storms in our lives to protect us, direct us and correct us. They may seem thorny and uncomfortable, but they are there for our own good!

“He shows me grace; and He is my fortress, my stronghold, in whom I find shelter, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.”
Psalm 144:2 CJB

God really is our protector and covers us in all the storms of life! So no matter what may be happening, know that God really is leading you and guiding you, so just look to Him!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Repent

“But I will pity the house of Y’huda; I will save them not by bow, sword, battle, horses or calvary, but by Adonai their God.”
Hosea 1:7 CJB

Here we see God punishing Israel for its sin, hoping Judah will get it and repent, but it didn’t! We all can learn from other people’s mistakes, they don’t have to be our own! The Good News is God saves!

“A king is not saved by the size of his army, a strong man not delivered by his great strength.”
Psalm 33:16 CJB

When we see sin all around us, it’s always best to look in the mirror before we point it out! Why? The reason we may be seeing it is because it may be what we are dealing with also! Remember, it is God who saves! We just need to confess and repent!

“From that time on, Yeshua began proclaiming, Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!”
Matthew 4:17 CJB

We all see the evil in the world, so don’t get caught up in it, but instead look at yourself, repent and move on! God, desires us to be with Him in His Kingdom of Heaven!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!
