God is our refuge

“If the next-of-kin pursues him, they are not to hand over the killer to him; because he struck his fellow community member unknowingly and had not hated him previously.”
Joshua 20:5 CJB

These cities of refuge were set up for those who accidentally or unwittingly killed someone! It was a place for one to flee to until the situation could be sorted out! These weren’t places to go for people who knowingly broke laws to go to! We as believers always have a refuge to go to in Adonai!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-lasting help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 CJB

We all can have issues in life! Where and who do we run to? It should be Adonai!

“Adonai-Tzva’ot (LORD of hosts) is with us, our fortress, the God of Ya`akov.”
Psalm 46:11 CJB

There are so many places we can go and options we can try, but Adonai will always be the perfect place of refuge!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

God loves you

“When they had finished distributing the land for inheritance according to its borders, the people of Israel gave an inheritance within their territory to Y’hoshua (Joshua) the son of Nun.”
Joshua 19:49 CJB

When we belong to God we will always have an inheritance! Why? Because we are good? No! Because He is good! We just have to love Him!

“Furthermore, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called in accordance with His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 CJB

We at times may have no idea what God is doing, but we should know He loves us and He has a purpose for us! So know everything is going to work out!

“Therefore take great care to love Adonai your God.”
Joshua 23:11 CJB

So no matter how bad things may look, remember our inheritance is in Adonai!
So have a blessed day loving God!

Step out in faith

“There still remained among the people of Israel seven tribes that had not received their inheritance.”
Joshua 18:2 CJB

Understand there is always more to be done, when we finish one task God gives us a new one! We must keep moving forward, there is always more to do!

“Guide my footsteps by your word; don’t let any kind of sin rule me,”
Psalm 119:133 CJB

When we procrastinate and hold back, it always turns into sin! Stepping out with Adonai will always be a blessing and encouragement!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

We can’t just take in the Word or just sit and complain we really need to pray, step out and go!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!

Don’t be afraid

“But the descendants of M’nasheh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; the Kena`ani wanted to stay in that land.”
Joshua 17:12 CJB

The tribe of Manasseh complained they didn’t have enough land and they weren’t strong enough to defeat the Canaanites that were in their land! Even though things may look impossible, we need to trust what God promises us to do and God promised He would be with them to win!

“When you go out to fight your enemies and see horses, chariots and a force larger than yours, you are not to be afraid of them; because Adonai your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”
Deuteronomy 20:1 CJB

When we are doing what God calls us to do, we can always count on the fact that we will succeed! So don’t be afraid!

“Haven’t I ordered you, ‘Be strong, be bold’? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 CJB

No matter how tough or difficult things may seem, don’t give up! Why? Because God is with us wherever we go!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!

Drive out the giants

“They did not drive out the Kena’ ani(Canaanites) living in Gezer, so Kena’ ani live together with Efrayim to this day, having become slaves to do the heavy work.”

Joshua 16:10 CJB

We see here that Ephraim didn’t get rid of everything and everyone God commanded them to! Later down the road it will come back to bite them! Same can go for us when we hold onto a little sin!

“As for towns of these peoples, which Adonai your God is giving you as your inheritance, you are not to allow anything that breathes to live.”

Deuteronomy 20:16 CJB

We need to be real careful of what we allow into our homes and our lives! Watch out for things that put us in compromising situations!

“Stay awake, and pray that you will  not be put to the test-the spirit indeed is eager, but human nature is weak.”

Matthew 26:41 CJB

Pray about everything and be careful and prayerful about everything you say and do! Have a blessed day walking with Yeshua!
