There is no difference today. Just like in the days of Zechariah, who was instructed to return and rebuild the Temple. But the people cared more about themselves ! Unfortunately many so-called believers do the same. They put more care in personal gain than the Kingdom of God!

“For the love of money is a root of all the evils; because of this craving, some people have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves to the heart with many pains.”
1 Timothy 6:10 CJB

Now understand money isn’t evil, it’s the desire to gain it and make more of it to enrich yourself! We all need money to live, but is it what runs and controls our lives?

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

We all really need to make serving Adonai our top priority! When we do, family, jobs and yes, even finances, will fall into place!

In other words, don’t whine about your situation, but instead get up and get to work!

“This is in keeping with the word that I promised in a covenant with you when you came up out of Egypt, and My Spirit remains with you, so don’t be afraid!”

Life can be and is hard, but God says stand strong and get to work!

“Haven’t I ordered you, ‘Be strong, be bold’? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 CJB

Today, let’s focus on the greatness of Adonai, not our enemies and challenges in life, no matter what they may be! Remember God is always bigger and is right there with us!

What Adonai is saying here is, you are so worried about your house, your job and your life that you put Me (Adonai) on the back burner!

“He said, naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. Adonai gave; Adonai took; blessed be the name of Adonai.”
Job 1:21 CJB

We find this theme throughout scripture of greed and wanting prosperity for ourselves, while we neglect Adonai! What are we striving for? Serving Adonai or building our earthly empire? Remember we take nothing with us when we go to be with Him!

Whether rich or poor, money and self serving gets in the way of serving Adonai! Don’t get distracted with worldly things! Today, look to Adonai, who will supply all our needs and serve Him! We can’t serve two masters!

When we repent of our sins God forgives and forgets!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

We serve a God who not only forgives and forgets, He also is right there with us in every situation, so we have nothing to fear!

“Haven’t I ordered you, ‘Be strong, be bold’? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 CJB

So as we go out into our day, know that because we repented of our sins, God has forgiven us and orders us to be bold and unafraid!

God will judge all the people who reject and ignore Him! This includes people who claim to be believers, but ignore or reject everything in His Word!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

When we love someone, we will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love Adonai, we really should be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

God gives us His commands not to be a burden, but to help us to walk on His right path and do life His way, not ours! His ways will always keep us out of life’s messes!
