Don’t Judge

“Therefore, let’s stop passing judgment on each other! Instead, make this one judgment-not to put a stumbling block or a snare in a brother’s way.”
Romans 14:13 CJB

We are to be careful of putting restrictions and stumbling blocks on others, but instead be mindful of what you do and say!

“Do not speak a curse against a deaf person or place an obstacle in the way of a blind person; rather, fear your God; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:14 CJB

The main theme of this chapter is taken from the Jewish teaching in Midrash: “You are not to place a stumbling block before the blind (uneducated believers)” Don’t be cruel and trip up others to make yourself look good!

“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.”
Matthew 7:1 CJB

God doesn’t forbid judging wicked and evil things! Just be careful of jumping on other people’s failures and mishaps as if you are better or to make yourself look better!

“Why do you see the splinter in your brother’s eye but not notice the log in your own eye?”
Matthew 7:3 CJB

Today, let’s be careful of stumbling others to make ourselves look good and judging others for things that we are just as guilty of! Instead let’s love and encourage each other in the love that Adonai bestows on us!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Reflect His light!

“The Night is almost over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and arm ourselves with the weapons of light.”
Romans 13:12 CJB

We are closer to Heaven everyday we spend on Earth! So let’s live for Messiah and share His Good News every chance we get!

“Yeshua spoke to them again: I am the light of the world; whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life.”
John 8:12 CJB

Understand, when we are young we don’t think of eternity, but as we get older we start to realize things don’t last forever! Our days are numbered and we all have an appointed time! What are we doing? Are we reflecting His light? Or are we being consumed by the world?

“Arise, shine [Yerushalayim], for your light has come, the glory of Adonai has risen over you.”
Isaiah 60:1 CJB

As believers we should know that the end is fast approaching! So let’s shine bright for Adonai!
Have a blessed day reflecting His glorious light!

He is light

“The night is almost over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and arm ourselves with weapons of light.”
Romans 13:12 CJB

In other words, the dark days we are living will come to an end and the light we find in God will completely take over!

“How happy are the people who know the joyful shout! They walk in the light of Your presence, Adonai.”
Psalm 89:15 CJB

Whatever may be going on in our lives, things will always be best when we walk in His light! Not the artificial light of this world, His light which gives us life, filled with His joy!

“But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of His Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7 CJB

So let’s focus on Adonai, not the darkness that fills the world! Knowing that even with life’s ups and downs things are always better in His light!
May your day be richly blessed!
Shabbat Shalom!

Let it go!

“Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.”
Romans 12:21 CJB

This really is one of the hardest things to overcome! Why? We have evil thoughts all the time! You may say not me! But, how do you feel when you are cut off in traffic? How do you feel when your neighbor does something wrong to you? How do you feel when your boss overlooks you or reprimands you for no reason? These are just a few things that can make us have evil thoughts towards each other!

“You heard that our fathers were told, ‘Do not murder,’ and that anyone who commits murder will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who nurses anger against his brother will be subject to judgment; that whoever calls his brother, ‘you good-for-nothing!’ will be brought before the Sanhedrin; that whoever says, ‘Fool!’ incurs the penalty of burning in the fire of Ge-Hinnom!”
Matthew 5:21-22 CJB

Anger shows us how much we need a Savior, because if we are honest we all get angry and anger leads to evil thoughts! We all need to check ourselves on the things that irritate us, then focus on repenting and give the issue over to God!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB

So don’t hold grudges or think we need to have vengeance, instead give it over to Adonai and watch how He will deal with it!
Have a blessed day letting anger go and giving it over to Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!
