Shine for Adonai

“Try to imitate me, even as I myself try to imitate the Messiah.”
1 Corinthians 11:1 CJB

What Shaul is saying is, as he is trying to imitate Messiah, so should we! The best thing we can do is immerse ourselves in scripture and walk in His ways, so we can reflect His glorious light!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in Heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

It doesn’t say do good things so your name can be in the spotlight, it says let your good works shine so Adonai is glorified!

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

So let’s look for opportunities to imitate Messiah and glorify Him everywhere and in everything!
May your day be richly blessed reflecting His light!

Be careful of pride!

“Therefore, let anyone who thinks he is standing up be careful not to fall.”
1 Corinthians 10:12 CJB

This is an easy trap to fall into! Be careful of thinking that temptation can’t over take you! Just because you may have been a believer for 20, 30, or even 40 years that you can’t stumble! Honestly this is one of the biggest traps for older believers, thinking they are somehow immune to sin!

“The pride of man will be bowed down, the arrogance of men will be humiliated, and when that day comes, Adonai alone will be exalted.”
Isaiah 2:17 CJB

God, will deal with the pride and arrogance of man! So for now it’s best to keep yourself in check and see if there is any wicked, arrogant or prideful thing in you.

“Examine me, God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts. See if there is in me any hurtful way, and lead me along the eternal way.”
Psalm 139:23-24 CJB

Today, let Adonai search our hearts and let’s be careful of thinking that we are more than what we have been made to be by God! We are all sinners in need of a Savior (Yeshua)!
May your day be richly blessed!

Run to win

“Don’t you know that in a race all the runners complete, but only one wins the prize? So then, run to win!”
1 Corinthians 9:24 CJB

Are we running the race of Salvation to win? In an athletic event only one can win! But in a spiritual race we all can win, we just need to run to win! Don’t be complacent, but be bold!

“Be strong, be bold; for you will cause this people to inherit the land I swore to their fathers I would give them.”
Joshua 1:6 CJB

We can look at the land as running the race to win souls for Adonai! We need to share the Good News of Salvation everywhere and anywhere we can! Win ground for Adonai!

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you; don’t be distressed, for I am your God. I give you strength, I give you help, I support you with My victorious right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 CJB

Today, let’s not focus on the obstacles we face, but instead let’s focus on the race we have before us, sharing His Good News to win the lost!
Have a blessed day sharing about Yeshua!

Be an encourager

“However watch out that your mastery of the situation does not become a stumbling block to the weak.”
1 Corinthians 8:9 CJB

This can be a problem for many believers, that they have knowledge and maybe a better understanding of scripture, but instead of using it to encourage they end up discouraging weaker believers!

“Y’honatan (Jonathan) Shaul’s son set out and went to David at Horesh to encourage him in God.”
1 Samuel 23:16 CJB

When we have knowledge of scripture and are mature, we should use that knowledge and maturity to edify and encourage others in Adonai!

“Teach me Your way, Adonai; lead me on a level path and guide me for Your name’s sake.”
Psalm 31:3 CJB

As Adonai leads and encourages you in His ways, look for opportunities to lead and encourage others in His ways also!
May your day be richly blessed!
