Here we see Achav take to heart what Adonai says, repent or die!
When we humble ourselves and repent, God is faithful and just to forgive!

“Humble yourselves before the LORD, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:10 CJB

We should take great joy that as bad as we can be, God will always forgive when we repent!

“If we acknowledge our sins, then, since He is trustworthy and just, He will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.”
1 John 1:9 CJB

The key to forgiveness is always repenting! So, let’s be thankful that God forgives us when we repent!

Do we do this? Allow God to only be control of just part of our lives! This is foolish as God is in control of all things!

“In His hand is the life of every living thing and the spirit of every human being.”

God created life and controls everything! So the best thing we can do is trust Him and give Him all glory!

“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.”

Today, give every aspect of your life over to God. You won’t be disappointed!

God always has people who worship Him and don’t bow down to the gods of this world! So we should never feel all alone, we are not the only one!

“In the name of Myself I have sworn, from My mouth has rightly gone out, a word that will not return-that to Me every knee will bow and every tongue will swear.”
Isaiah 45:23 CJB

God always has a plan and it includes using us His people sharing that He is LORD!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

Just like Eliyahu, we all need to be reminded of this that we are not alone and we are called to share His Good News!

We need to do what Eliyahu did, remove the sin that distracts us from Adonai!

“Remove scorn and contempt from me, because I observe Your instructions.”

So how do we kill sin? One of the best ways to do that is by being in the Word of God!

“I treasure Your Word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against You.”
Psalm 119:11 CJB

The more time we spend in the Word of God the less time we spend in sin! So let’s remove sin from our lives by drowning it in the Living Waters of the Word of God!
