Wait on the LORD!

“Now when the people saw Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”

Exodus 32:1

We can fall into this trap too, The LORD isn’t working fast enough or that is just the old way of doing things! We need to be careful of that mindset because it usually turns out to be a disaster!

“For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O son of Jacob.”

Malachi 3:6

Be careful of trying to do your own thing, wait on the LORD, be patient and know the LORD is working it out! When we are impatient we start to build our own false idols to dance around.

“Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways.” Psalm 128:1

No matter what your going through, waiting on the LORD is always going to be the best thing to do! We live in a world that is fast paced, I want it all and I want it know mentality! We just need to remember the LORD’s timing is always going to be better! So stick to the road map that the LORD has given us His word!

“I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

Have a blessed day waiting on the LORD!

Take a break!

“Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.”

Exodus 31:15

The LORD who made us knows us and also knows what we need. The fact is we live in a high paced society we work seven days a week never really taking a break! When folks go back to work on Monday, they are usually still tired and not rested. WHY? Because they never took a break, in essence they are killing themselves, burning out and we don’t need to be!

“Yes I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:18

If your feeling tired, burnt out or just weary life is wearing you down. Then take a break shut it all off and spend a day with the LORD! Honestly what do you have to lose, besides nothing!

“It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”

Exodus 31:17

Understand God doesn’t need a break, we do! The LORD wants us to be rested and refreshed in Him. So if you feel pressed, stressed and depressed then rest in the LORD! Take a day shut off the world and rest in the LORD rejoice in His salvation! Have a blessed day! Shavua Tov (Have a good week)

Give!

“Everyone included among those who are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering to the LORD.”

Exodus 30:14

We all need to participate and give to the LORD, If you go to a church, synagogue or you are encouraged by what a ministry says and does, realize they need to pay the bills too! The bigger reason to give I believe is so we can partner and participate with what the LORD is doing!

“Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples, Give to the LORD glory and strength.” 1 Chronicles 16:28

Why should we give? The LORD has given us all so much His salvation, we get to spend eternity with Him, and the ministries that we enjoy help us to be reminded of that!

“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

2 Corinthians 9:7

Today be part of what the LORD is doing participate, give of time and resources and get involved with the LORD and His people!

“this is the LORD’s doing; It’s is marvelous in our eyes.”

Psalm 118:23

Have a blessed day being part of what the LORD is doing!

Don’t be afraid.

“He saw that they were having difficulty rowing, because the wind was against them; so at around four o’clock in the morning He came toward them, walking on the lake! He meant to come alongside them;”

Mark 6:48 CJB

We all have storms and difficulties while navigating through life. We need to realize the Jesus is right there walking with us!

“But when they saw Him walking on the lake, they thought it was a ghost and let out a shriek; for they had seen Him and were terrified. However, He spoke to them. Courage, He said, it is I. Stop being afraid!”

Mark 6:49-50 CJB

Jesus says the same to us today knowing life can be rough, Know He is right there with you so take courage and stop being afraid!

“He got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. They were completely astounded.”

Mark 6:51 CJB

Why were they amazed and astounded by the storm ceasing, because they realized Jesus was in control and with them all along! This is what we need to see today no matter how crazy or insane things look around us, Jesus is right there! No matter how big the problem or situation is, with Jesus the storm maybe still there but its winds will seem calm! We all have issues going on around us, rejoice knowing the LORD is right there with you. Have a blessed day not living in fear, it’s all going to be alright Jesus is in the boat.

Jesus removed your chains, so let His light shine!

“They came to Yeshua (Jesus) and saw the man who had the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were frightened.” Mark 5:15 CJB

This to me is very interesting, as we see the events happening around us in the world and in our country. Which seems to be completely out of control, locked in the chains of insanity! The only thing that can solve the problem is Jesus and He is being rejected in every place that desperately needs Him!

“And the people began begging Yeshua (Jesus) to leave their district.”

Mark 5:17 CJB

As we see this happening around us, the LORD being rejected and laughed at everywhere, People who believe in the LORD are also mocked and ridiculed! We can be like the demon possessed man wanting to leave with Jesus, thinking he maybe mocked knowing the people cared more for their stuff! The LORD says the same thing to us today go back and be a witness!

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

As hostile as the world is getting around us, we as believers need to shine even more! We may not agree with each other on doctrine or social issues, But we can agree that Jesus is LORD! So let’s get out there and share the love and light of our LORD, who removed our chains of death! Have a blessed day shinning for the LORD!

Shabbat Shalom.
