Call on the LORD”

“Yet even now, says Adonai, Turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping and lamenting.”

Joel 2:12 CJB

We, at times, may feel like our life is upside down. That’s when we need to turn to the LORD, not the world! The world has a pill or a plan for everything you can imagine! The LORD has a way!

“As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me.”

Psalm 55:16 NKJB

Today, let us call on the LORD for direction, healing and guidance, not on the world! Also don’t get anxious when things don’t go according to your plans. Realize the LORD always has a better plan!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9 NKJB

So, no matter what you have going on around you, realize the LORD has a plan and a way! Just turn to Him, wait on Him and walk in His ways! Have a blessed day!

Day of the LORD

“Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is at hand; It shall come as destruction from the Almighty.”

Joel 1:15

As I look around at things today, very few people are looking for the Day of the LORD! We are looking for pay day, voting day and my day in court! We all need to be reminded that the LORD has a day coming, and that it may be soon!

“Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7

We, as, believers really need to be spending more time looking for the LORD, calling out to Him and listening for His voice! Unfortunately, we spend way too much time listening to the world and its junk!

“Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways.”

Psalm 81:13

Realize, the world is going to do what the world is going to do: sin. We, who belong to the LORD, whom are called by His name, we need to be walking and talking in His ways! Remember, His day is fast approaching! So have a blessed day seeking Him!

Don’t divide

“So there was division among the people because of Him.”

John 7:43

Sounds like the world today! There is division in politics, families and even the body of believers! So often, we get so caught up in what we believe and think, we are not able to listen to others!

“You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”

Leviticus 19:18

We really should take this to heart! Instead of being divided about everything, let us look for common ground. That’s usually where the LORD is, looking for ways to bring people into His salvation!

“Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessings is upon Your people.”

Psalm 3:8

Today, help us all “O LORD” to be less divided and help us to bring people closer to You! Have a blessed day.

Share the glory of the LORD

“And it came to pass, when priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.”

1 Kings 8:10-11

What an amazing sight this would have been, that the cloud of the LORD was so overwhelming that the priests had to stop! One day we will have this same experience!

“After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the LORD our God!”

Revelation 19:1

Realize as we go through the day, we are that much closer to being with the LORD! When we start to realize that, I believe our day becomes so much better, because its being filled with the glory of the LORD!

“And one cried to another and said: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory.”

Isaiah 6:3

May the glory of the LORD fill your day so much that it pours out onto the people and places around you! No matter what we have going, let us praise the LORD, and be His light in this ever – getting – darker world! Let us, His people, fill the whole earth with His glory. Have a blessed day!

Lean on the LORD

“You are to live in a sukkot for seven days; every citizen of Israel is to live in a sukkah.”

Leviticus 23:42 CJB

Why is this important? Because the sukkot is a reminder of the walk through Egypt, the way it is built is with three walls, built rather flimsy (like us), and the fourth wall, your house or a solid structure (the LORD). It’s a great picture of us walking through the world, falling apart and flimsy, leaning on the solid rock of the LORD!

“Adonai is my Rock, my Fortress and Deliverer, my God, my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my Shield, the power that saves me, my Stronghold. I call on the LORD, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”

Psalm 18:3-4 CJB

Today, we can see this as a great reminder of whom the LORD is, “our solid Rock” and how flimsy we can be! We all have many things going on around us, so lean on the LORD!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; And do not rely on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5 CJB

We all need to be reminded that the LORD is our solid Rock and our strength. It is He who is holding us up! Have a blessed day leaning on Him!
