God does correct us!

“You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.”

Deuteronomy 8:5

Often times we believe we maybe getting away with something we know we shouldn’t be doing! Realize as we discipline our children know that the LORD will discipline us!

“Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to fear HIM.”

Deuteronomy 8:6

Today realize even if the LORD is discipling you it’s because of His great love towards you!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Today know that the LORD loves you and me, so let’s love Him back and walk in His ways! Have a blessed day!

Don’t bring junk in!

“Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly test it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.”

Deuteronomy 7:26

This could sound harsh, but if we are honest and look, how many detestable things do we allow into our homes? Bad attitudes, gossip, and negative thoughts towards others to name a few! Not to even mention some of the garbage we allow in via T.V. and internet!

“Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate, says the LORD.”

Zechariah 8:17

We really need to be careful of what we allow into our homes! Their is all kinds of stuff out there that may seem harmless and even attractive. We need to be careful does it change us to love the LORD more or do we become judge and jury!

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Luke 6:37

Today really test the things we allow in attitudes, thoughts and opinions! Because often times when we allow them in we start to judge others! Let us throw the abominable things out of our homes, and bring in the beautiful things of the LORD! Have a blessed day!

Look to the LORD, not the storm!

“But He said to them, It is I; do not be afraid.”

John 6:20

The LORD is always right there among us, so we really have nothing to fear, So why do we?

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

2 Timothy 1:7

Life is filled with all kinds of storms, do we look at the storm or do we look to the LORD?

“He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.”

Psalm 107:29

Today no matter what you maybe going through, health, finances, relationships or any other life crisis! Only the LORD can calm the storm, Take your eyes of the storm and just look to the LORD, He will get you through! Have a blessed day!

Everything but the LORD fades!

“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”

Isaiah 40:8

Everything comes to a end our cars, our jobs, and our lives! But the LORD stands forever and His word never changes!

“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain.”

Psalm 48:1

We will always be better off standing with the LORD and following His word! The beautiful thing is the LORD is always right there to lead us and guide us through life!

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Psalm 118:6

What can man do to us? NOTHING! So today let us look to the LORD and be in His word, because everything else will fade away, But the LORD will always be! Have a blessed day.

Shabbat Shalom!

The LORD chose you.

“The LORD did not set His love on you nor chose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples;”

Deuteronomy 7:7

Sounds like many of us today! The LORD didn’t chose us because of our special skills, talents or even intelligence!

“But because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.”

Deuteronomy 7:8

Like the children of Israel the LORD has saved us from the bondage of the world (Egypt) and has redeemed us to serve Him and to walk with Him in His loving ways!

“Therefore you shall keep the commandments, the statutes, and the judgements which I command you today, to observe them.”

Deuteronomy 7:11

The LORD didn’t save us so we can continue to walk in the ways of the world, but instead to walk in His ways!

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

John 14:15

Today know that the LORD loves you, and has saved you so let us strive to walk in His ways! Have a blessed day!
