Jesus is the way out!

“Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison.”

Genesis 39:20

Poor Joseph can’t seem to get a break, hated by his brothers and sold into slavery, set up by Potiphar’s wife and thrown into prison! This is how we can feel, stuck in the prisons of life or in debt with no end in sight. You may be in a dead end job or no job, or maybe you feel stuck with no direction! Life can be a drag, filled with no hope. Remember, you’re in good company! Joseph in jail, David hiding in a cave, Jeremiah being laughed at and Jesus hanging on the cross for you and me! In every situation God made a way!

“As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”

2 Samuel 22:31

The LORD never promised you or me we wouldn’t have difficulties in life. He promises us that He is the way, His way is perfect and He has a place for us.

“Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6

Life has its issues and ups and downs. Know this: that the LORD will get you through, just follow Him! John 14 also says: “That in His Father’s house are many mansions and He has prepared one for you, also where He is you will be also!” Have a blessed day knowing God will get you through, just follow Him!

It all will come to Pass

“And it came to pass, about three months after Judah was told, Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry. So Judah said, Bring her out and let her be burned!”

Genesis 38:24

As bizarre and weird as this Biblical account is, we still can glean a lot that can help us today! First, no matter what you may be going through, it will come to pass! Remember, the LORD is with you all the way!

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, Fear not, I will help you.”

Isaiah 41:13

Secondly, we also need to be careful of judging too quickly! Judah wanted to have his pregnant daughter-in-law burned, without knowing all the facts! The same goes for us, don’t judge or make rash decisions before you know what’s really going on!

“You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the LORD is at hand.”

James 5:8

Today, things going on around us may seem bizarre. Remember, it will come to pass, also don’t rush to judgment. The LORD has everything right as it should be. What we need to be doing is keeping our hearts and minds focused on Him! Have a blessed day!

Life has problems

“Now when they saw him a far off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him.”

Genesis 37:18

Like Joseph, when you are called to do the work of the LORD, there are people who want to tear you down; it may even be a family members. The key is don’t get caught up in the bickering and drama, let the LORD take control!

“My brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials.”

James 1:2

Difficulties will happen, people can be mean, making false accusations and vial comments towards you, just shake the dust off. Realize, the LORD has already been there and done that, so with Him you can make it through!

“And we know all things work to gather for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

You maybe going through some stuff now: family drama, career issues or people around you just being difficult! Remember you’re in good company, the LORD has heard and seen it all! We have nothing on Jesus!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9

Today and everyday, know you have enemies and adversaries out to get you, know that the LORD is bigger!

Have a blessed day knowing how big our God is!

The world is dark, but the LORD is bright!

“And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled which says: HEARING YOU WILL HEAR AND SHALL NOT UNDERSTAND, AND SEEING YOU WILL SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE; FOR THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE HAVE GROWN DULL. THEIR EARS ARE HARD OF HEARING, AND THEIR EYES HAVE CLOSED, LEST THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTS AND TURN, SO THAT I SHOULD HEAL THEM.”

Matthew 13:14-15

This was true in the days of Isaiah, it was true in the days of Jesus and two thousand years later it’s still true today! People have grown dull, blinded and callous towards the LORD! We who believe need to be like Isaiah and say: “Here I am, send me.” Let us shine the light of the LORD everywhere and anywhere!

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

Today, as dark as it is getting around us with natural disasters, man made messes and social darkness, we need to reflect the light of the LORD more than ever!

“Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Matthew 13:43

Let our lights shine for the LORD today. Don’t get into useless debates with people, just shine, allow the beauty of the LORD be seen in you! Only Jesus can open eyes and ears to see and hear. Our job is to shine His glorious light and He will do the healing! Have a blessed day in Him!

Drop the junk

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Matthew 13:9

There is so much noise going on around us: political noise, social noise and noise of nonsense. We, as believers, need to focus on the voice of the LORD and block out the noise of the world!

“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 28:2

The word of the LORD tells us over and over that we will be blessed if we obey what He says. The problem is, the noise in the world around us can be louder than the voice of the LORD!

“Then He said, Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD. And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.”

1 Kings 19:11-12

Realize, the LORD is speaking, he’s not yelling. We need to just listen, hear His voice don’t get caught up in hype of the world or the circus atmosphere that we see around us, even in some church services!

“Be still. and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Psalm 46:10

Today, let us be still and listen for the voice of the LORD! Just drop the junk of the world!

Have blessed day in Him.

Shabbat Shalom!
