The LORD is our refuge!

“The killer who will live if he flees there is someone who has killed his fellow member of the community by mistake, who did not hate him in the past.”

Deuteronomy 19:4 CJB

The LORD tells Moses to set up cities of refuge, for people who have accidentally killed someone! Accidents happen, we all do and say things that we don’t really mean to but do! And often times the person we say or do something to comes after us with a vengeance! We all need a city of refuge to remove ourselves from the situation.

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1 NKJV

The LORD is that refuge, the biggest mistake we can make when we say or do something stupid, is to continue to say and do stupid things! Stop! Seek the LORD and call upon Him, He is the answer, He is our refuge in every situation!

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.”

Psalm 103:2-4 NKJV

Today don’t act or react, just take refuge in the LORD! Have a blessed day.

Cling to the LORD not the world!

“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.”

Deuteronomy 18:9 NKJV

This is true for us today! People know more about sports, Hollywood and politics than the word of the LORD! We spend hours on things that don’t matter, rather than spending time learning about the LORD.

“You shall fear the LORD your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name.”

Deuteronomy 6:13 NKJV

We need the LORD more than anything else in life, but we can spend more time seeking useless things than Him!

“You are to fear Adonai your God, serve him, cling to him and swear by his name.”

Deuteronomy 10:20 CJB

We need to be clinging to the LORD holding on to Him! Why? Because He is holding onto you! Realize sports, Hollywood, politics or anything else can’t hold onto you, but the LORD has a firm hold on you! So let us cling to Him and learn from Him today! Have a blessed day in Him.

The LORD gave you all!

“You shall not sacrifice to the LORD your God a bull or sheep which has any blemish or defect, for that is an abomination to the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 17:1

We all need to be careful of giving to the LORD our seconds, our leftovers and half hearted service! We need to give the LORD our best, He gave His for us!

“O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!

Psalm 68:35

The LORD has given all for us, all that we have is from Him. Even what may seem as bad situations, the LORD allows us to go through so He maybe glorified through it, and we will be blessed through it!

“Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.”

1 Chronicles 16:23

No matter what you have going on today good or bad, lets give to the LORD our best! Have a blessed day in Him.

Be Part of what the LORD is doing!

“Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.”

Deuteronomy 16:17

The LORD wants us all to participate in what He is doing around us! He desires us to give as we are able, so we can be part of the things He is doing, Saving the lost not wowing them!

“This is the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.”

Psalm 118:23

The LORD is doing great things around us! Remember He is reaching people, He came to seek and save the Lost, not build buildings, fund entertainment and have religious spectacles,

but to save people!

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Today let us give what we are able to help finance what the LORD is doing and let us be part of reaching people! Have a blessed day in Him.

Lay down in His pastures

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

John 10:11 CJB

Our LORD is that good shepherd, when we truly rest in His pastures we will have peace and rest! Its when we lie down in the pastures of the world we have strife and lack of life!

“My servant David will be king over them, and all of them will have one shepherd; they will live by my rulings and keep and observe my regulations.”

Ezekiel 37:24 CJB

As prophesied in Ezekiel, Jesus comes and fulfills! In the pastures of the world we will always be uncomfortable and conflicted! In the pastures of the LORD we will find His peace and comfort, lets just walk in His ways not ours!

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

John 14:27 NKJB

In the world we can and do have many struggles, but the good Shepherd laid His life down for us and gives us green pastures to lay down in! READ PSALM 23 today and just take it in, just chew on His word through out the day! Have a blessed day laying in His pastures.
