The LORD let’s us know what we need!

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

Deuteronomy 29:29

The LORD lets us know what He wants us to know and some things He keeps from us! The LORD has instructed us in His word what to do and what not to do!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9

What does this leave us to do? It allows us to keep praying and seeking the LORD! Searching His word for directions and decisions we need to make! Spending time in His word seeking His heart on matters we are going through!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Matthew 7:7-8

Have a relationship with the LORD and His body!

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:25

Today, just do what’s in front of you, don’t worry about what hasn’t happened yet or what you got coming next. Today will have enough issues, tomorrow is another day. Enjoy this day in the LORD! Have a blessed day.

Have a conversation.

“If you ask Me for something in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep my commandments.”

John 14:14-15 CJB

We all can be guilty of asking the LORD for all kinds of things and at the same time not obeying His voice! To have a relationship means we have to listen, not only talk. A one-sided relationship really isn’t a relationship, is it?

“How I wish My people would listen to Me, that Israel would live by My ways!”

Psalm 81:13 CJB

Today, let us talk to the LORD and listen to Him. He is talking; are we listening?

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9 CJB

When we talk to the LORD, making requests or asking for direction, let us listen and obey. Also remember He is the LORD. Don’t get caught up in one-sided conversations. In fact, let’s talk and listen with people we come in contact with today also, have a conversation! Have a blessed day. Shabbat Shalom.

Don’t say no to the LORD!

“Peter said to Him, You shall never wash my feet! Jesus answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part of Me.”

John 13:8

We should never tell the LORD “no” or “never”! Whatever He says, we need to just do it; it’s always for our good!

“His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it.”

John 2:5

Often times, we will hear from the LORD to do things that just don’t make sense! Like raise your staff to part the sea, walk around a city seven times, go tell the good news to your enemy or share a couple loaves of bread. It may seem silly, foolish or even impossible, but just do it!

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

Today, realize you are called by the LORD and He has given you a purpose. So step out in faith today and serve the LORD, don’t say never! Have a blessed day.

Shine for the LORD.

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.”

Isaiah 60:1 NKJB

There are so many dark things being talked about today: politics, storms, and eroding society, to name a few things. Instead, let us talk about the LORD and His glorious light!

“Nations will go toward your light and kings toward your shining splendor.”

Isaiah 60:3 CJB

We are called to reflect the light of the LORD, not spread the gloom of the world. Light always attracts people.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16 NKJB

Let us seek the LORD, listen to His voice and do the good things He instructs us to do. Let’s reflect His glorious light!

“Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.”

Psalm 96:3 NKJB

Today, shine for the LORD, and have a blessed day doing it.

Desire the LORD.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”

Deuteronomy 28:1

We need to desire the LORD more than the world. Unfortunately, the routines of life keep us well distracted from spending time with the LORD!

“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 28:2

The best thing we can do throughout the day is interject the LORD into it, wherever and whenever we can! Repeating a verse, singing a Psalm or just simply calling out to Him in conversation!

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Jesus for you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The best way to be blessed by the LORD is by including Him in everything!
