Focus on the LORD, not the storms!

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

How true! In life, we do have storms (tribulation). The good news is all storms come to an end. The better news is Jesus overcame them.

“He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.”

Psalm 107:29

Life will and does have storms. Our problem so often is we focus on the storm, not the LORD who calms them.

“Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7

Today, realize we will have tribulation; problems with children, business and health! Don’t focus on them. Instead, focus on the LORD who overcame them, who calms them and gives us peace when we look to Him! Have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom.

The LORD knows!

“Look down from heaven, And see from Your habitation, holy and glorious. Where are Your zeal and Your strength, The yearning of Your heart and Your mercies toward me? Are they restrained?”

Isaiah 63:15

Like Isaiah, we, too, can ask the same question, where are you LORD? Often times we can feel we are doing everything we are supposed to do and it seems like the LORD is nowhere to be found. Hold on!

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

In other words, the LORD is always right there. If you feel like you’re walking alone, you’re not. Just keep seeking the LORD, pressing forward toward Him and walk in His ways! Realize you may be exactly where you’re supposed to be.

“The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever.”

Pslam 37:18

Understand, as we are going through our day, all kinds of things will happen, good and bad! Realize the LORD is right there, leading and guiding us through, whether we see it or not. So, take hope today and know that the LORD has it all covered. Have a blessed day.

Watch, pray and share!

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent.”

Isaiah 62:6

We, too, need to be watchmen, watching for the LORD, praying to the LORD and sharing about the LORD!

“Blessed is the man who listens to Me, Watching daily at My gates, Waiting at the posts of My doors.”

Proverbs 8:34

In everywhere we go and in everything we do, we need to be looking for the LORD and watching for Him!

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Mark 14:38

When we aren’t looking, praying and talking about the LORD, we can and do fall into all kinds of foolishness. Today, let us be watching, praying and sharing about the LORD. Don’t be silent. Have a blessed day.

Reflect the light of the LORD

“But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast.”

Isaiah 61:6

The plan of the LORD was for Israel to be a nation of priests, which will happen.

“And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

Exodus 19:6

What is awesome with this plan is we who believe in the LORD get to be part of it too!

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9

What a privilege that we get to be part of the LORD’S plan to be a priesthood, a glowing light of His salvation! Today, be a proclaimer of the good news of the LORD everywhere you go. Have a blessed day.

Things happen!

“When the time arrives that all these things have come upon you, both the blessing and the curse which I have presented to you; and you are there among the nations to which Adonai your God has driven you; then, at last, you will start thinking about what happened to you;”

Deuteronomy 30:1 CJB

As we read this verse, one of the things we can get out of it is all things come to pass. Whether the good things or the bad things, the LORD uses every situation to steer us to where He wants us to be.

“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.”

Psalm 34:17-18 NKJB

Today, you maybe going through some difficulties, or maybe you’re having great blessings. Remember the LORD allows situations to happen so we can see Him working.

“My times are in Your hand; rescue me from my enemies’ power, from those who persecute me.”

Psalm 31:15 CJB

No matter what is going on in your life, the LORD knows! Often times, we need to really spend some time contemplating on what the LORD may be doing, how He is using the situation you’re in for His glory. He has a reason for your season! Have a blessed day seeking Him.
