Lean on the LORD

“You are to live in a sukkot for seven days; every citizen of Israel is to live in a sukkah.”

Leviticus 23:42 CJB

Why is this important? Because the sukkot is a reminder of the walk through Egypt, the way it is built is with three walls, built rather flimsy (like us), and the fourth wall, your house or a solid structure (the LORD). It’s a great picture of us walking through the world, falling apart and flimsy, leaning on the solid rock of the LORD!

“Adonai is my Rock, my Fortress and Deliverer, my God, my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my Shield, the power that saves me, my Stronghold. I call on the LORD, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”

Psalm 18:3-4 CJB

Today, we can see this as a great reminder of whom the LORD is, “our solid Rock” and how flimsy we can be! We all have many things going on around us, so lean on the LORD!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; And do not rely on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5 CJB

We all need to be reminded that the LORD is our solid Rock and our strength. It is He who is holding us up! Have a blessed day leaning on Him!

Follow the LORD

“Jesus said to him, If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”

John 21:22

This is something we all need to be reminded of! We all can be consumed by what other people are doing, situations happening around us or our own pet projects. Instead, let us be consumed by the LORD and follow Him!

“Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways.”

Psalm 128:1

The best reminder we can have is: don’t follow the things going on around us, but follow the LORD! When we follow after the LORD, walk in His ways and do what He says in His Word, the things around us seem to fade away! Follow Him!

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Today, let’s not follow the issues and trends of the world, but instead let us follow hard after the LORD!

Have a blessed day!

Peace of the LORD

“And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you.”

John 20:26

We need to hear the words Peace to you often, because the world around us can and does have all kinds of trials and tribulations. With the LORD we have peace!

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”

Isaiah 26:3

We really need to look to the LORD in every situation. The only way we can have peace is to trust and abide in Him!

“Peace I leave you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

John 14:27

Today, don’t let the world around us dictate to you on how to live. Instead, abide in the LORD and allow His peace to permeate your life! Have a blessed day walking in His perfect peace!

Look to the LORD

“In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my GOD; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.”

2 Samuel 22:7

We all have situations in life that stress us out: jobs, health and finances. Before we make decisions, let us call on the LORD, get into His word and wait for His direction!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD.”

Isaiah 55:8

Often times, we don’t wait for the LORD’S direction or we don’t like His way and a bigger mess is made. Realize, the LORD’S way is always going to be the right way!

“The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation.”

2 Samuel 22:47

So, if you’re feeling distressed today, don’t panic or stress out, just call on the LORD and rest in Him! Have a blessed day.

Confess and be healed

“Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness.”

Isaiah 58:9

The LORD is faithful and just to forgive us. Our problem is, we we don’t feel a need to confess or admit our sin! We point our fingers, blame others and ignore the questionable things we say and do.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9

Often times, the situations we are in, are of our own doing. The way out is to confess and stop doing the thing that put you in the bad situation to begin with!

“Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.”

Jonah 3:10

If God can forgive the people of Ninevah, guess what? He can and does forgive you. Repent, Return (to the LORD) and Rejoice.

“As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

Psalm 103:12

Today, if you’re feeling bogged down, held back or stuck, call on the LORD, confess and allow Him to heal you! Have a blessed day talking with the LORD!
