Walk with the LORD

“So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and was not, for God took him.”

Genesis 5:23-24

Interesting! In a common calendar year, there are three hundred and sixty-five days! Here, we see Enoch walking with God for three hundred and sixty-five years! I believe the LORD may be showing us our need to walk with Him every day.

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”

Psalm 5:3

Every day, we need to be looking up to the LORD, waiting on Him and listening for His voice! Don’t call upon the LORD only in times of need, but call upon Him throughout the day, everyday!

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Every day is perfectly made for us by the LORD, so let us seek Him and walk with Him throughout the day! Have a blessed day with Him!

Don’t try to hide from the LORD!

“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”

Genesis 3:7

Often times we do exactly the same thing we sin, but instead of confessing and repenting we try to cover it up! That’s when guilt creeps in and we run and hide!

“Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you?”

Genesis 3:9

Even when we blow it and then try to cover it up, the LORD is still calling us! We need to just answer Him, no matter how bad we think we have blown it. We still need to hear the call of the LORD, answer Him don’t run and hide!

“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!”

1 Chronicles 16:11

Life will always be easier if we just seek after the LORD, even when we blow it! Don’t try to cover things up yourself, confess to the LORD and let Him do the covering! Have a blessed day.

We are nothing but dust!

“And the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

Genesis 2:7

This is a sobering thought. We all are nothing but dust! The amazing thing here is that God breathed life into us!

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”

Psalm 139:14

So, no matter what we may have going on around us, we need to look to the LORD, not at the situations that surround us! Remember, it’s His breath that is in us. Even if the things going on around us may seem out of control, remember, He is in perfect control.

“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.”

Psalm 145:3

Today can and will have ups and downs, but remember, you have the very breath of the LORD filling your lungs! Have a blessed day breathing in the LORD!

Let there be light!

“Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.”

Genesis 1:3 CJB

Interesting! The first recorded words of God in the Bible are, ‘Let there be light’! Why? Because we need light to see, to know where we are going and, most of all, to remove darkness!

“God saw the light was good, And God divided the light from the darkness.”

Genesis 1:4 CJB

The LORD wants us to be separate from the darkness of the world; He desires us to walk in His light!

“But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of His Son Yeshua (Jesus) purifies us from sin.”

1 John 1:7 CJB

Today, don’t get caught in the darkness of politics, social media and gossip, but instead get caught up in His light, the light of the LORD!

“Yeshua spoke to them again: I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life.”

John 8:17 CJB

If you want to have life, then walk in His light! Have a blessed day following the LORD, searching His word and fellowshipping with His people!

Shavua Tov! (Have a good week)

Unity in the LORD

“So there was division among the people because of Him.”

John 7:43

Sounds like the world today! There is division in politics, families and even in the body of believers! So often, we get so caught up in what we believe and think, we are not able to listen to others!

“You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”

Leviticus 19:18

We really should take this to heart! Instead of being divided about everything, let us look for common ground. That’s usually where the LORD is, looking for ways to bring people into His salvation!

“Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessings is upon Your people.”

Psalm 3:8

Today, help us all “O LORD” to be less divided and help us to bring people closer to You! Have a blessed day.
