Leviticus 13:8 NKJB

Leprosy is just like sin, if left unchecked it will grow and when it grows it will destroy! What happens so often today is we leave sin unchecked and it grows! A little lie, no big deal; a little look, I won’t get caught, or just a little taste, it won’t hurt anyone! This is how easy sin grows!

“Examine me, Adonai, test me, search my mind and heart.”

Psalm 26:2 CJB

We need to constantly be checking our heart and mind to be sure we aren’t allowing sin to creep in!

“Because it is written, BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”

1 Peter 1:16 NKJB

The LORD wants us to be HOLY like Him! Why? Because He knows what is good for us! Sin may be fun, but it will destroy us eventually; it will rot away your life!

“Restore us, O God; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!”

Psalm 80:3 NKJB

Know this today, the LORD wants us to be restored and saved, walking in His ways, not rotting in our sins! Have a blessed day being cleansed and restored in the LORD!

“And the priest shall examine him on the seventh day; and indeed if the sore appears to be as it was, and the sore has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall isolate him another seven days.”

Leviticus 13:5 NKJB

One of the things we could draw from this verse is: do we examine ourselves? We often times will look at others and judge or examine them, but do we check ourselves?

“How many are my iniquities and sins? Make known to me my rebellion and my sin.”

Job 13:23 NKJB

When we examine ourselves, we need the magnifying glass of the LORD and His word!

“Examine me, God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts.”

Psalm 139:23 CJB

Today, let’s spend some time with the LORD and in His word and examine our heart and our thoughts! Have a blessed day checking our hearts with the LORD!

“And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she may bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons – one as a burnt offering and the other as a sin offering. So the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.”

Leviticus 12:8

Here we see even bringing life into the world, we still need to have our sin covered! The point is we are all sinners in desperate need of a Savior. No one is innocent!

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23

The only way out is the LORD! We all need the LORD to cleanse us and save us!

“Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah (pause or meditate)

Psalm 3:8

Yes, we should meditate on the fact that we all know how rotten we can be, and how much we need salvation! Today, let’s realize and be thankful we are covered by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and we are not doomed to hell! But, let us also realize many people around us are not saved! So let’s step up our game, so to speak, and share the good news of salvation today. Sin is serious business! Have a blessed day being a witness for the LORD!

“Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, Sit here while I pray.”

Mark 14:32

Jesus, knows what’s coming next and He doesn’t have a staff meeting, He simply just says let’s pray. So often we want to take action, but what we need to do first in everything is just simply PRAY!

“Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray.”

Psalm 5:2

After we pray then the next thing we get to do is watch, God answers in His perfect timing!

“Then He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

Mark 14:34
