What a great word for us also! Throw away the detestable things in our lives that distract us from the LORD!

“Open my eyes, so that I will see wonders from your Torah (instruction).”

Psalm 119:18 CJB

How do we get rid of detestable things in our lives? By keeping our eyes and ears open to the word of the LORD, listening and following His instructions!

“The Torah of Adonai is perfect, restoring the inner person. The instruction of Adonai is sure, making wise the thoughtless.”

Psalm 19:7 CJB

Today, put away the detestable things in the world that distract and rob us from the joy of the LORD and fill yourself with His amazing blessings!

The LORD doesn’t want us to live by the rules of the world, but by His rules and instructions!

When we obey and follow God, doing things His way and not ours, life always goes better! When we follow the ways of the world, we always fall into sin and compromise!

“They do nothing wrong but live by His ways.”

It’s really hard to sin when we are in His word, walking in His ways! So today, let’s get into His word do what it says, reflecting the light of the LORD! Have a blessed day shining for the LORD!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”

The LORD desires us to love Him with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves! We need to be careful of holding grudges, taking vengeance or talking trash about people! We need to love those around us. The world really needs some love!

“I am giving you a new command: that you keep loving each other. In the same way that I have loved you, you are also to keep on loving each other. Everyone will know that you are my talmidim by the fact that you have love for each other.”

John 13:34-35 CJB

It’s easy to get angry at people when they offend us; it’s harder to love them when they do, but that’s what the LORD wants us to do!

“Don’t plot harm against each other; and don’t love perjury; for all these are things I hate, says Adonai.”

Zechariah 8:17 CJB

So, no matter what may happen today, let us reflect the love of the LORD! Have a blessed day reflecting the love of the LORD!

“Do not turn to idols, and do not cast metal gods for yourselves; I am Adonai your God.”

We all need to take heed and be careful of doing this. We all can carry enough idols (small gods) in the palm of our hands. We also find ourselves turning to them way too often; be careful! Ask yourself, what is the first thing you look at when you wake up?

“Adonai, In the morning You will hear my voice; In the morning I lay my needs before you and wait expectantly.”

Psalm 5:3 CJB

It can be a hard habit to get into, but we need to make it a priority to call on the LORD when we wake up, praising Him and listening for Him! Also, do the same before we go to bed!

“But as for me, I will look to Adonai, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7

We need the LORD to be part of every moment of our lives and the world around us needs Him also! We can’t allow the same idols to creep in and permeate our lives! We need to be set apart and holy, not ordinary, just fitting in. Have a blessed day looking to the LORD!
