Jesus calms the waters of life!

“But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, LORD, save me!”

Matthew 14:30

Like Peter, when we step out of the boat to serve the LORD, we may walk on water for a time, but the waves of the world always appear! The storms going on around us should always show us how much we need JESUS!

“In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.”

Psalm 86:7

We will have days of trouble, where we wake up and ask, how did I get here? How did the waves of bills overcome me? How did the waves of health overtake me? Or, how did the waves of doubt consume me? We all, at, one time or the other have felt like we were sinking or drowning, maybe even today!

“Help me, O LORD my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy.”

Psalm 109:26

Realize we have all said foolish things, made wrong choices and unwise decisions! The wisest thing we can do is look to the LORD, call on His name and know when we call out to Him, “Save me” know His help is on the way! Remember, in the next verses Jesus pulls Peter out of the water, the winds cease and those in the boat worship and rejoice! Today, let us worship and rejoice, knowing we are saved and His mercy endures for ever! Have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom.

We really need the LORD

“The most courageous men of might Shall flee naked in that day, Says the LORD.”

Amos 2:16

This is a great reminder for us in a day when we hear slogans like, “stronger with…” or” …….is great”. Even in all our strength, knowledge and might, the LORD can put an end to it at the snap of His finger! We really need to look to the Creator.

“The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.”

Exodus 15:2

We all can and do fall into the trap of how much we know, how much we are liked and how much we have or “look at me” and my situation, my problems or my needs! We all need to be reminded it’s all about the LORD and who He is: GOD!

“Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”

Isaiah 45:22

Paul also goes onto say in Romans, quoting Isaiah:

“For it is written: AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS TO GOD.”

Romans 14:11

Today, realize, in everything we need to look to the LORD!

“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?”

Amos 3:3

One day, all will agree and bow down to the LORD! For now, let us who believe in Him, talk about Him, glorify Him and direct people towards Him! I pray you have a blessed day putting the LORD at the center of your life!

The LORD never forgets you!

“But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.”

Genesis 40:14 NKJB

Joseph was having a rough time. His brothers hated him, sold him into slavery, and now he is in prison for at least two more years! Basically, Joseph had ten plus years of pits, slavery and prison and we complain if we have to wait in line for ten minutes! Remember, the LORD knows and doesn’t forget us!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJB

We all may have, at one time or the other, lost hope, thought that the LORD has forgotten you, or cares for others more than you! We may even think that the LORD is mad at you or not pleased with you! Remember, He’s not!

“That the grace of Adonai is not exhausted, that His compassion has not ended. On the contrary, they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness! Adonai is all I have, I say; Therefore I will put my hope in Him.”

Lamentations 3:22-24 CJB

Today, if you feel forgotten, stuck in a pit or maybe a slave to life. Know this: the LORD hasn’t forgotten you, He has a plan and is going to work it all out for His glory! Have a blessed day knowing we are part of His glorious plan.

Jesus is the way out!

“Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison.”

Genesis 39:20

Poor Joseph can’t seem to get a break, hated by his brothers and sold into slavery, set up by Potiphar’s wife and thrown into prison! This is how we can feel, stuck in the prisons of life or in debt with no end in sight. You may be in a dead end job or no job, or maybe you feel stuck with no direction! Life can be a drag, filled with no hope. Remember, you’re in good company! Joseph in jail, David hiding in a cave, Jeremiah being laughed at and Jesus hanging on the cross for you and me! In every situation God made a way!

“As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”

2 Samuel 22:31

The LORD never promised you or me we wouldn’t have difficulties in life. He promises us that He is the way, His way is perfect and He has a place for us.

“Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6

Life has its issues and ups and downs. Know this: that the LORD will get you through, just follow Him! John 14 also says: “That in His Father’s house are many mansions and He has prepared one for you, also where He is you will be also!” Have a blessed day knowing God will get you through, just follow Him!

It all will come to Pass

“And it came to pass, about three months after Judah was told, Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry. So Judah said, Bring her out and let her be burned!”

Genesis 38:24

As bizarre and weird as this Biblical account is, we still can glean a lot that can help us today! First, no matter what you may be going through, it will come to pass! Remember, the LORD is with you all the way!

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, Fear not, I will help you.”

Isaiah 41:13

Secondly, we also need to be careful of judging too quickly! Judah wanted to have his pregnant daughter-in-law burned, without knowing all the facts! The same goes for us, don’t judge or make rash decisions before you know what’s really going on!

“You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the LORD is at hand.”

James 5:8

Today, things going on around us may seem bizarre. Remember, it will come to pass, also don’t rush to judgment. The LORD has everything right as it should be. What we need to be doing is keeping our hearts and minds focused on Him! Have a blessed day!
