Let the LORD shine!

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Matthew 24:35

The word of God is the same today as it was yesterday, it never changes! Everything that God says happens, just like the days of Noah, which Jesus explains in the next chapters: Out of control wickedness.

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

Isaiah 5:20

Everything seems to be backwards.

“Every way of man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.”

Proverbs 21:2

Don’t be discouraged, the LORD said it would be like this and He is coming for those who are His!

“AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS THAT WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.”

Acts 2:21 and Joel 2:32

Today, things can look bad, but remember, we belong to the LORD, and He is doing great things!

“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

Let the light of the LORD shine through you today, the community that you live in, the people you come in contact with need to see the LORD’S light. The only way they might see it is if we are reflecting Him! Have a blessed day reflecting the light of the LORD!

Arise and shine!

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”

Matthew 24:12

We all need to be careful of this, the more we see lawlessness, godlessness, and the rejection of God, we can grow cold! The other thing that can happen is, we can start to compromise and make excuses for it, saying: that movie is ok, hanging out in that club isn’t so bad or other believers are doing it! We need to keep our eyes on the LORD and stand firm in His word!

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

John 14:4

As we see the world around us growing colder, Jesus gives us the answer in what to do, abide in HIM! When we spend time with the LORD and in His word, it gives us a desire to share His word and be His light!

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.”

Isaiah 60:1

Today, what we get to do is spend time with the LORD, share His good news of salvation and reflect His glorious light! If you are rejected, just smile, shake the dust off and move on! Don’t get dragged down into the dark world around you!

Have a blessed day in the LORD!

Shabbat Shalom!

Talk about the LORD

“In that day I will cause the horn of the house of Israel to spring forth, and I will open your mouth to speak in their midst. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 29:21

We, too, have this ability to speak and share the word of the LORD! No matter how much persecution or ridicule we may receive, when we talk about the LORD, we still have the ability to talk about Him!

“Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.”

1 Chronicles 16:23

We all have trials, disappointments and setbacks in life, But with the LORD we always have His good news of salvation to share! Life good or bad is always going to be better when the LORD is in it!

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

So today no matter what is going on, let us realize we have been given the ability to speak about the LORD! Today is the day He has made, let’s proclaim His good news of salvation and watch Him appear!

Have a blessed day.

Reflect the LORD

“But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”

Exodus 9:16

Like Pharaoh and his men who were treating the Israelites poorly, so too, the world around us can do the same. The world does put pressure on us, always pushing believers to be more ungodly! We shouldn’t be surprised Jesus warned us it would get rough!

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.”

Isaiah 60:1

As the world puts more pressure upon us to be ungodly remember, the LORD desires us to be His glorious light! We are like lumps of coal that the world puts pressure on, but in the LORD we are diamonds in the making.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

So no matter how much pressure the world puts upon on you, just keep your eyes upon the LORD, and let’s be a reflection of His amazing love.

Have a blessed day!

Remove the frogs

“And Moses said to Pharaoh, Accept the honor of saying when I shall intercede for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only. So He said, TOMORROW. And he said Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.” Exodus 8:9-10

This is amazing to me. Here the land of Egypt is over run by frogs; they’re everywhere: in the house, kitchen, bedrooms and streets. Pharaoh can have them all removed immediately, but tells Moses, “OK you win, but let’s remove them TOMORROW”! It’s like sin. The LORD can heal you and I from it right now. Don’t choose to spend one more night in sin, or hold onto enough of what binds us, for another day!

“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him. But the people answered him not a word.”

1 Kings 18:21

We all have a choice to make either the LORD or the world! Don’t delay removing the things that need to be removed, don’t delay in getting rid of all the frogs in our lives that keep us from serving the LORD. Choose the LORD, not the frogs.

“I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.”

2 Samuel 22:4

Don’t spend one more night with the frogs, because they will begin to stink! What frogs you may ask? The frogs of sin, depression, stress and doubt! Call upon the LORD and watch Him appear and remove the obstacles that burden you! Have a blessed day in Him!
