Do you belong to the LORD?

“You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.”

Exodus 19:4-5

We who believe have all witnessed the LORD taking us out of Egypt (the world). Also, we should know when we just do what the LORD says in His word it keeps us from going back to the world and its trappings! How awesome is it that the Lord calls us “His special treasure”!

“And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

Exodus 19:6

How awesome that we are not only the LORDS ‘special treasure’, He also makes us His Priests and spokesmen. What a privilege that is!

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9

No matter what situations you maybe in, realize, the biggest thing happening in our lives is the LORD. You belong to Him!

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!”

1 Chronicles 16:8

Today, let’s share the good news of the LORD, His salvation. The world around us really needs to hear it and so do we!

Have a blessed day shining.

Serve the LORD

“Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God.”

Exodus 18:19

Here we see Jethro, Moses father-in-law, noticing Moses is trying to do everything and he’s burning himself out! Does this sound familiar, do we try to do everything never asking for help or delegating responsibility to someone else? Are we afraid of giving something up, thinking that we are the only ones that can do it? Sometimes when we hold onto something so tightly, it becomes our god. Let it go give it to the LORD!

“Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!

1 Chronicles 16:29

The LORD isn’t impressed on how much we serve, how big our projects are or even how successful our ministry is! He really just loves us and desires us to worship Him and share that with those around us! Buildings, projects and ministries don’t save people, only Jesus can!

“I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

Romans 12:1

Today, don’t burn yourself out with the have to’s, instead refresh yourself in the LORD, and tell people about God and how good He is! Have a blessed week sharing the goodness of the LORD!

Don’t be too busy for the LORD!

“And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.”

Matthew 26:43-44

This account of Jesus praying in the garden should really stir up all believers! We shouldn’t read it as, “look at the Dips, blowing it!” Instead, we should put ourselves into this garden scene and ask: are we asleep? Statistics show that the average Believer spends very little quality time with the LORD! We all can use the excuse we are too busy!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

1 Peter 5:8

Yes, the enemy, the devil, is out there and is real; distracting, dividing and keeping us busy so we are blind about what is happening around us! He distracts us from spending time with the LORD!

“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.”

Mark 13:33

Today, let’s look for opportunity’s to share about the LORD, spend time with other believers in the LORD and most importantly spend time with the LORD! Let’s not be so busy, that we don’t have time for the LORD or when we get time we are too tired and sleepy! Have a blessed day watching and praying!

Shine for the LORD

“Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes! I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.”

Judges 5:3

Here we see Israel was being harassed, just like Israel was being harassed by Egypt, It seems to be a theme with Israel! The same goes for us. We may feel we are being harassed by life’s issues; bills, broken stuff that needs to be repaired, jobs and relationships, really just life’s issues! What shall we do? Sing praises to the LORD!

“I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.”

Psalm 108:3

When things look bad or even if they are going well, nothing can be better than just praising the LORD! What we should know is we can count on the LORD, He will show up at the right second every time.

“Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD! But let those who love Him be like the sun When it comes out in full strength. So the land had rest for forty years.”

Judges 5:31

Today, if you want to have peace and need rest, Just praise the LORD. Why? Because, He will show up right on time every time! So let’s shine today, and sing praises to the LORD.

Shabbat Shalom!
