This is speaking of the Ten Commandments, which God wrote with His own finger! In other words when God speaks we really need to listen!

“My sheep listen to My voice, I recognize them, they follow Me, and I give them eternal life. They will absolutely never be destroyed, and no one will snatch them from My hands.”
John 10:27-28 CJB

Are we listening to the voice of God? The best way to hear the voice of God is by being in His Word, which He wrote!

“Adonai, I say that my task is to observe Your Words.”

The best way to hear from God, is by being in His Word!

Just like Israel, we are no different. We are stiff-necked and stubborn! Sad thing is we can be prideful! What does God want us to do? Be humble!

“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time He may lift you up.”
1 Peter 5:6 CJB

This is something we all need to be doing. We all need to be humble and submit ourselves to God!

“Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, behave like a mentsh (a person of integrity, honor dignity and courage) grow strong.”
1 Corinthians 16:13 CJB

Adonai wants us to stand strong in Him, not in ourselves (stiff-necked) like the world! So be a mentsh today!

Life is always better when we follow Adonai and do life His way as His Word directs us!

When we love someone, we will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love Adonai, we really should be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”

Things will always be more fruitful and prosperous when we do life God’s way!

When we intermarry with the world, we don’t change the world but the world changes us!

“In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the `olam hazeh (the world). Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that He wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.”

Don’t be a thermometer, but instead be a thermostat, changing the things of the world not by conforming to it but changing it to the temperature God desires!

“How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”

No matter what temptations or distractions may be around us, we, as believers, need to change the temperature of the world around us by reflecting God’s glorious light!

Obeying God shouldn’t be a burden or made to be difficult! Worshipping God and following Him should be really simple!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome, because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust.”

Keeping the commands of God are not meant to be a burden, they are meant to share His love! We are saved because of His love for us, so we should return that love by simply keeping His commands!

God desires us to walk through life sharing His love! Walking in His love, His ways is how we can overcome the world!
