Be in prayer

“The people of Israel, registered according to their clan leaders, were drafted for army duty under captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers serving the king, in divisions of 24,000 each, for month—long terms of duty covering all the months of the year.”
1 Chronicles 27:1 CJB

Just like in previous chapter we saw we need to be watchmen. Here we see that we need to be prepared for going into battle 24/7! The best weapon we have is to be constantly in prayer! Are you prayed up today?

“When you call to Me and pray to Me, I will listen to you.”
Jeremiah 29:12 CJB

Everyday we step out our door it is a battle! So before we go out we need to pray for God to have His hand upon us!

“They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you, says Adonai, to rescue you.”
Jeremiah 1:19 CJB

Life is full of battles, that is why we need to pray about everything!
Have a blessed day being alert and being in prayer!

Be on guard

“These divisions of gatekeepers, under their chief men, had duties, just as their kinsmen did, serving in the house of Adonai.”
1 Chronicles 26:12 CJB

We all need to be watchmen and gatekeepers, watching for Adonai and being alert and on guard during the times that we are living in!

“I will stand at my watchpost; I will station myself on the rampart. I will look to see what [God] will say through me and what I will answer when I am reproved.”
Habakkuk 2:1 CJB

Like Habakkuk, we need to be alert, watching and waiting for Adonai to guide and direct!

“Stay alert! Be on guard! For you do not know when the time will come.”
Mark 13:33 CJB

Only Adonai knows the day and an hour of when He will call us home! We all need to be alert, being aware of the events happening in the world around us while we watch and wait for Him! So have a blessed day being watchmen!
Shabbat Shalom!

Sing unto Adonai

“Their number, together with their kinsmen who had been instructed in singing to Adonai, was 288, all well trained.”
1 Chronicles 25:7 CJB

The scriptures, in many places, instructs us to sing unto Adonai! Why? Because He loves hearing us singing joyful praises!

“I will sing to Adonai, because He gives me more than I need.”
Psalm 13:6 CJB

God gives freely to us, so we should willingly should sing His praises!

“Come, let’s sing to Adonai! Let’s shout for joy to the Rock of salvation!”
Psalm 95:1 CJB

Calling on and praising Adonai really is what we are called to do! So no matter how rough things may be or seem, let’s praise Adonai!
May your day be blessed praising Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Serve Adonai

“There were more men who were chiefs found among the descendants of Elazar than among the descendants of Itamar; therefore there were sixteen divisions of the descendants of Elazar, headed by clan leaders, and eight divisions of the descendants of Itamar, according to their clans.”
1 Chronicles 24:4 CJB

We are all given something to do for Adonai, some bigger, some smaller! But whatever we are given we need to do all unto Adonai!

“Everyone who bears My name, whom I created for My glory-I formed him, yes, I made him.”
Isaiah 43:7 CJB

God has created everything and everyone to serve Him and glorify Him!

“His master said to him, ‘Excellent! you are a good and trustworthy servant. You have been faithful with a small amount, so I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and join in Your master’s happiness!'”
Matthew 25:23 CJB

Here we see that no matter what God has given us we need to do unto Adonai with a whole heart and in total faithfulness!
Have a blessed day serving Adonai!

Serve God

“The L’vi’im (Levites) will no longer have to carry the tabernacle and all the equipment that goes with it for its service.”
1 Chronicles 23:26 CJB

The Levites will no longer have to carry the Tabernacle around. They will now have more time to serve God and His people! The problem will become they will end up serving themselves, kind of like many leaders in the world today!

“Then to everyone He said, If anyone wants to come after me, let him say ‘No’ to himself, take up his execution-stake daily and keep following Me.”
Luke 9:23 CJB

We all need to check ourselves for, God freed us from the bondage of sin so we can be able to serve God and others!

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter His presence with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:2 CJB

Serving Adonai will always give us joy, serving ourselves will always be a burden!
Have a blessed day serving Adonai!
