Devotions

“I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, Shaul! Shaul! Why do you keep persecuting me? I answered, Sir, who are you? I am Yeshua from Natzeret, ‘ he said to me, and you are persecuting Me!”
Acts 22:7-8 CJB

We all have been like Sha`ul (Paul) at one time or the other. We’ve persecuted God by denying who He is or ignoring His directions! Also like Paul, we need to repent and go out and share the Good News of Salvation with the lost!

“How happy is everyone who fears Adonai, who lives by His ways.”
Psalm 128:1 CJB

Don’t fight with the LORD, but instead submit to Him and follow Him! Realize, we can’t live without Him!

“You are to fear Adonai your God, serve Him, cling to Him and swear by His name.”
Deuteronomy 10:20 CJB

Today, know that we are called to serve and proclaim the LORD wherever we go! Don’t cling to the world, but cling to the LORD knowing He will never let you go!
Have a blessed day following the LORD!

“But Sha`ul (Paul) answered, What are you doing, crying and trying to weaken my resolve? I am prepared not only to be tied up, but even to die in Yerushalim for the name of the LORD Yeshua.”
Acts 21:13 CJB

We need to be like Paul, totally sure of our calling no matter what happens to us. Know that we are all called by the LORD to share the Good News of Salvation!

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

Like Paul, we are a chosen people to share His Good News with all the world! We all need to realize we are called to share the Good News of the LORD!

“Adonai is alive! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted be the God of my salvation.”
Psalm 18:47 CJB

Today, know that we are all called to serve and glorify the LORD!
Have a blessed day!

“Even from among your own number, men will arise and teach perversions of the truth, in order to drag away the talmidim after themselves. So stay alert! Remember that for three years, night and day, with tears in my eyes, I never stopped warning you!”
Acts 20:30-31 CJB

Two things here we need to see: first we need be going through the word and share the word of God, also be careful of people who don’t or pervert the word!

“For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths.”
2 Timothy 4:3-4 CJB

The second thing is we need to do after we go through the word and share, we also need to warn people about the coming days we are living in! We need to be watchmen!

“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.”
Mark 13:33 CJB

Today, we need to be in the word, listening to the word, sharing the word and warning people about the coming days!
Have a blessed day today!

“Many of those who had earlier made professions of faith now came and admitted publicly their evil deeds; and a considerable number of those who had engaged in occult practices threw their scrolls in a pile and burned them in public. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, it came to fifty thousand drachmas.”
Acts 19:18-19 CJB

These people accepted the LORD and destroyed all their worldly idols. The price was maybe a million dollars today! What are we willing to give up for the LORD?

“Yeshua said to him, If you are serious about reaching the goal, go and sell your possessions, give to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come, follow Me! But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he was wealthy!”
Matthew 19:21-22 CJB

Being rich isn’t the issue, it’s when other things start to dictate your life! Like sports, recreation, politics and money, to name a few things. Don’t make decisions based on stuff, but on Yeshua!

“Taste, and see that Adonai is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in Him!”
Psalm 34:8 CJB

Today, let’s be a people who give all to follow the LORD, knowing He will never let us down and He will supply all our needs!
Have a blessed day in Him!

“Observe all my regulations and rulings, and do them; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:37 CJB

The LORD doesn’t give us rules and regulations to bum us out or make us miserable, but to help guide us and keep us out of trouble!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways, says Adonai.”
Isaiah 55:8 CJB

The LORD gives us instructions on how to live! Why? Because He really does know what is best for us!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
John 14:15 CJB

Today, spend some time looking to the LORD and seeing what His word has to say about how we should live!
Have a blessed day observing the ways of the LORD!
Shabbat Shalom!
