We can actually see by now that Job was a pretty decent guy, friendly, kind and generous, but like all of us he has a sinful flaw! His seems to be pride! How? Because he is always letting us know how nice of a guy he is!

“The pride of a man will be bowed down, the arrogance of men will be humiliated, and when that day comes, Adonai alone will be exalted.”
Isaiah 2:17 CJB

God will deal with all sins, including pride, but we should ask ourselves do we have pride in our hearts? When we look at Job we can see his pride was the fact that he thought he was a good guy! The only good thing in us is Yeshua, not ourselves!

“Yeshua said to him, Why are you calling Me good? No one is good except God!”
Mark 10:18 CJB

Remember, all good and perfect things are in and from God!

“Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father who made the heavenly lights; with him there is neither variation nor darkness caused by turning.”
James 1:17 CJB

So let’s not think so highly of ourselves, but instead let’s put all our hope in Yeshua!

In other words, God doesn’t strike at people, especially those who are already down!

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

When we see and understand that God has nothing but our best interests in mind, this should lead us to worship Him at every chance we get!

“Adonai takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who wait for His grace.”
Psalm 147:11 CJB

We can’t live without God and nor should we try to! So let’s sing praises to Him today in every situation!

“I clothed myself with righteousness, and it clothed itself with me; my justice was like a robe and a crown.”
Job 29:14 CJB

All of Job’s good traits are from God! So let’s wrap ourselves in Him as He wraps Himself around us!

“May Your cohanim be clothed with righteousness; may those loyal to you shout for joy.”
Psalm 132:9 CJB

We are His Cohanim (Priests) and we are robed in His righteousness! This is something to get excited about and share!

“But you are a chosen people, the Kings Cohanim (Royal Priesthood), a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why in order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 CJB

We always need to be reminded of this, that we are God’s chosen people and we are called out of darkness to reflect His glorious light!

Two ways to look at death! One: which is the saddest that we are born then we die and that’s it! Second: which is that we are born then we die and then spend eternity with Yeshua! What tells us this is true? The Word of God!

“But I know that my Redeemer lives, that in the end He will rise on the dust; so that after my skin has been thus destroyed, then even without my flesh, I will see God.”
Job 19:25-26 CJB

Job makes a repeated point that no matter what this world throws at us, when our bodies have been destroyed here on earth, we will be with Him! How? By repenting and accepting Yeshua as LORD and Savior!

“Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I am, you may be also.”
John 14:3 CJB

We can live ten, twenty or even a hundred years here on earth, but understand it’s nothing compared to eternity! So ask what are we living for? Our earthly life or our heavenly life? Only you can answer this question! So take the time to see what and who you are living for!
