Be obedient

“Moreover, M’nasheh shed so much innocent blood that he flooded Yerushalayim from one end to the other-this in addition to his sin through which he caused Y’hudah to sin by doing what is evil from Adonai’s perspective.”
2 Kings 21:16 CJB

Here we see Manasseh’s reign where he is as bad as you can get, leading the people into all kinds of sadistic pagan practices! he even sacrifices his own son to Moloch! There is always an end to what God will allow, He will deal with disobedience!

“Sh’mu’el said, Does Adonai take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying what Adonai says? Surely obeying is better than sacrifice, and heeding orders than fat of rams.”
1 Samuel 15:22 CJB

God really desires us to do what He says not what we want!

“For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

Life is always going to be better when we listen to God and do life His way! His ways are always easier, so let’s walk in them!
Have a blessed day studying the Word of God and then doing what it says!

Be alert

“Yesha`yahu (Isaiah) asked, What have they seen in your palace? They have seen everything in my palace, said Hizkiyahu. There isn’t a thing among my treasures that I haven’t shown them.”
2 Kings 20:15 CJB

Hezekiah made a big mistake here, showing everything to his enemy! We also need to be careful of showing off everything to our enemy, but be on guard instead!

“Stay alert! Be on your guard! For you do not know when the time will come.”
Mark 13:33 CJB

Only God knows the day and the hour of everything to come, so we need to stay alert and be awake!

“And what I say to you, I say to everyone: stay alert.”
Mark 13:37 CJB

We don’t know the day that Adonai is going to call us home, but we know the seasons we are living in so stay alert! Things happen fast!
Have a blessed day being on guard!
Shabbat Shalom!

Praise Adonai

“Now therefore, Adonai our God, please save us from his power-so that all the kingdoms on earth will know that you are Adonai, God-You only.”
2 Kings 19:19 CJB

When great things are done do we take credit or do we give God all the glory?

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22:4 CJB

When we have trials and we will, we need to call on Adonai, who will save us and we need to praise Him before, during and after the trial!

“Tell God, How awesome are Your deeds! At your great power, Your enemies cringe.”
Psalm 66:3 CJB

Our enemies may seem powerful, but to God they are nothing! So let’s enjoy His glorious power and praise Him everywhere and anywhere!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

God forgives

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, following the example of everything David his ancestor had done.”
2 Kings 18:3 CJB

This is good news for us! Why? Because we know David did great things, but we also know that David blew it, he committed adultery, murder and many other sins! What made him great? He repented!

“And then, whoever calls on the name of Adonai will be saved.”
Acts 2:21 CJB

This is one of the themes throughout scripture, when we fail then repent, Adonai simply forgives! Why? Because God loves a humble repentant heart!

“But I will call on God, and Adonai will save me.”
Psalm 55:16 CJB

Adonai desires all people to call upon Him for salvation and that is something we should all be sharing!
Have a blessed day knowing God forgives!
